TheBeach Day
For days when the answer is just sea and sun. Toes in the sand all day. Little talk, much water.

The Day

Leggero Bakery
If you don't settle for ordinary bread, Leggero is the answer. Naturally leavened loaves, gluten-free options, and breakfast here is part of the ritual.
“Their sourdough bread is a must-try.”See in the guide
Park at Ouvidor. 15-min trail in — easy, well marked.

Praia Vermelha
One of the few beaches still genuinely untouched — partly because you can't drive in. Park at Praia do Ouvidor and follow a clearly signed 15-minute trail. Easy, beautiful, worth it.
“A 15-minute walk, with a beautiful beach at the end of it.”See in the guide
Walk back via the trail; keep a dry towel in the car.

Luz de Alice
Our favourite tent on Praia do Luz. Greice serves great drinks with the kind of care that makes you want to stay for hours.
“Creative, tasteful drinks and outstanding service.”See in the guide

Salt and silence at the Atelier
Come back from the sea, salt still on your skin. The Atelier has an outdoor shower, a veranda turned to the breeze, and the kind of quiet that heals.
Discover the housesClimb the Praia do Luz headland — side light, orange sea, the best stretch of the day.

Praia do Luz → Rosa Sul Trail
A highly recommended walk. The trail begins on the northern headland of Praia do Luz, climbs to the Luz lookout, and ends at Praia do Rosa Sul. Easy to moderate, 25 minutes each way, with views that more than justify the effort.
“A walk with a great vibe, past grazing cows and breathtaking views.”See in the guide
Lagoon-side to wind down — light, no weight.

Zen Bistrô
A bistro on the lagoon inside Mevlana Garden. Wide-ranging menu for any palate — a fine way to close a day spent at Barra da Ibiraquera.
“In Barra da Ibiraquera it's really hard to beat Zen's location. Very tasty food too, perfect if you're not in the mood for the neighbourhood's more traditional options.”See in the guide
